For puppies under 4 months of age

Puppy Pre-school

This class is a mix of training and discussions on proper puppy rearing. Handlers will learn how to play fun games with their puppy to increase their bond and build a desire to learn, plus basic commands. There will also be conversations regarding common puppy rearing challenges including, but not limited to, housebreaking, potty training, understanding dog behaviour and desensitization. No social opportunities will be offered, but instructions for planning your own puppy party will be offered!

Puppies are able to test for the AKC STAR PUPPY TITLE in this class!

For dogs over 4 months of age

Basic Obediece

This is beginner level instruction that takes handlers and their dogs through an introduction to dog training. Dogs will be taught to mind their manners around people and other dogs, listen to basic commands, and walk politely.

At the end of this course, those interested can test for the AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TITLE!

Prerequisite: Basic Obedience

Intermediate Obedience

Handlers taking Intermediate Obedience will improve on skills learned in Basic by beginning to work their dog in a public setting with classes taking place outdoors, when able. Recall will be a large focus in preparation for off leash reliability.

At the end of this course, those interested will be allowed to return to test for the AKC COMMUNITY CANINE TITLE!

Prerequisite: Intermediate Obedience

Advanced Obedience

This level of obedience will work on dogs learning to behave exceptionally in busy public spaces. Training will largely take place outside in locations with heavy pedestrian traffic, or dog friendly indoor environments. We will proof dogs with longer durations, more stimulating distractions and maximum distances to achieve a very high level of obedience!

At the end of this course, those interested will be allowed to return and test for the AKC URBAN CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TITLE!
